EL LLANO DE LAS BARRERAS 

The House


 

"El llano de las Barreras" is a very special house that takes its name from the area where it is located. "Las Barreras" is an place where there were many pottery craftmen whose knowledge was inherited from the Arabic tradition. 



This house has been cleverly built, retaining many original features throughout, such as beamed cealings, terracotta floors or the touches of sandy colours for walls that are a reminding of the Alpujarran feeling.



"El llano de las Barreras" has many interesting architectural features, is properly furnished combining antique and modern furniture with flair. The house is well equipped and very comfortable.


The house can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people. 


The original wooden main door opens into a nice hall. One side there is a large living room with open fireplace and open plan kitchen. The terracotta tiled staircase leads from the hall to the first floor which offers a double bed in a passage room, a bathroom and a stylish furnished bedroom with a lovely terrace where one can chill out and enjoys stunning views of Sierra Lujar.

 


The house has a second access at the back, hidden away on its own private garden and its splashing swimming pool. 

 


There is a covered terrace from which you have direct access to a kitchen, a perfect place for having lunch or relaxing in the hottest summer hours. A lovely Moorish arch announces the entrance to the second living room with comfortable sofas and armchairs surround the open fireplace, a perfect place to read amidst the silence.


A light airy corridor leads to two elegant double bedrooms and a charming bathroom in blue colours.

 


The private garden carefully planted in all outdoor areas provides a wealth of local plants, keeping freshness and relaxed ambience. The swimming pool invites you to make it true the Spanish saying "estar como pez en el agua", or "being like a fish into water"



There are enough parking room for two or three cars besides the house, and inside the property.
